Summary on project: ICAT/ACCIONA Agua was awarded by The Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater (CAPW), the Operation & Maintenance contract of New Cairo Raw Water Intake, Boosters, Pumping Stations, Transmission Lines and Water Treatment Plant, which is considered the largest in the Middle East. The scheme has a capacity of 500,000 m3/day, to be extended up to 2 million m3/day having an approximate total revenue of US$ 40 Million. Supplying drinking water to the New Cairo City and the Administrative New Capital City having a population of 5 million inhabitants.
